Getting started
01What can I build with ministry.bio?
Pastoral candidates can build a coherent package containing doctrine, résumé, testimony, call to ministry, philosophy of ministry, preaching philosophy, family or personal-example material, private church-fit work, interview preparation, and polished portfolio exports. A separate church workspace is available as a secondary offer.
02What is included free?
The Free Doctrine Builder includes one active personal project, all 65 doctrinal topics, prepared clauses, Scripture references, personal voice, three statement lengths, saved progress, and TXT and Markdown doctrine exports. Doctrinal starting profiles, compatibility notices, all other builders, versions, and polished exports require the $9.99 Portfolio Kit.
03Can I see a sample before buying?
Yes. The fictional sample lets you review the completed portfolio PDF and matching hosted profile before you buy. It shows the finished presentation and the public-facing sections included in the example.
Doctrine and authorship
01Is ministry.bio affiliated with a denomination?
No. ministry.bio is an independent drafting and reflection tool designed to help candidates describe their convictions clearly while respecting meaningful differences among Christian traditions.
02Does it tell me what I must believe?
No. The doctrine builder offers authored positions, shared affirmations, Scripture references, and advisory compatibility notices. It does not coerce a selection or replace Scripture, historic confessions, study, pastoral counsel, or a church examination.
03Does AI write my theology or candidacy materials?
No. The product uses authored clauses, deterministic templates, structured responses, and your selections. You remain responsible for every final word.
04Can I edit every generated statement?
Yes. The product assembles standard starter language from authored clauses, templates, and your saved answers. That boilerplate is only a first draft. You review and edit every final word before exporting or sharing it.
Privacy and sharing
01Is my work private?
Yes. Authenticated work is private by default. An export, private link, hosted profile, review submission, or cohort assignment is a separate explicit snapshot containing only selected material. Live drafts are never rendered directly on public pages.
Portfolio Kit
01What does the $9.99 Portfolio Kit include?
It includes every candidate builder, doctrinal starting profiles and compatibility notices, up to ten active projects, manual versions, résumé templates, interview tools, the portfolio composer, DOCX/PDF/ZIP exports, and preparation of hosting-ready snapshots. It includes no ministry.bio-hosted URL.
02Is the $9.99 Portfolio Kit a subscription?
No. The Portfolio Kit is a one-time purchase. You can continue creating, revising, versioning, composing, and exporting without a subscription. Only ministry.bio-hosted links and the hosted profile require the optional $6 monthly subscription.
Portfolio Hosting
01What does $6/month Portfolio Hosting include?
It keeps revocable recipient-specific portfolio links and one public or unlisted ministry.bio profile online. Private links can use fixed snapshots, passcodes, expiration, download controls, and aggregate views. Hosting adds no builders, exports, projects, or review credits.
02Who can purchase Portfolio Hosting?
Only an account that already owns an active, non-refunded Pastoral Candidate Portfolio Kit. The server verifies Portfolio Kit ownership before creating a hosting Checkout session.
03What is the difference between a hosted profile and a private portfolio link?
The profile is one public or unlisted username page containing selected completed sections. A private link is a recipient-specific fixed snapshot that can use a passcode, expiration, download controls, and immediate revocation. Private links are always excluded from search indexing.
04What happens when Portfolio Hosting ends?
Every ministry.bio private portfolio link and profile URL goes offline after the paid period. Your Portfolio Kit access, private drafts, saved snapshots, and downloaded files remain. Resubscribing does not republish anything until you deliberately review and reactivate it.
05Can I change my ministry.bio username?
No. You choose and confirm your ministry.bio username before you publish for the first time. After that, you cannot change it yourself. If you made a mistake or need help with your profile URL, contact support.
Human review
01What is included in Portfolio Review?
Portfolio Review is available by inquiry. A proposed scope may include a structured review of the portfolio copy you submit, prioritized section-level and inline feedback, and revision support. Availability, timing, and pricing are confirmed before review work begins. Portfolio Hosting is not included.
02What can a human reviewer see?
A reviewer receives only the portfolio copy you explicitly submit for review. They cannot browse or edit unrelated live drafts, church-fit notes, interview preparation, or other projects.
03Does review mean ministry.bio endorses or credentials me?
No. Review is advisory and document-focused. It is not denominational approval, ordination certification, academic evaluation, legal advice, placement, endorsement, or a guarantee of candidacy success.
Churches and groups
01What does the Church Statement Kit include?
The secondary $99 offer includes one church project, corporate-voice doctrine, a church philosophy-of-ministry builder, manual versions, and TXT, Markdown, DOCX, and PDF exports. It prepares a private leader-review snapshot but does not include a live hosted URL.
02How are seminary and ministry-group bundles priced?
Pricing is provided by request. A quote may combine annual participant seats, faculty templates and assignments, optional Portfolio Kit access, and pooled Portfolio Review credits. Membership never grants blanket access to private drafts.
Account and billing
01What is your refund policy?
Refund eligibility depends on the product and whether paid digital features or review work have been materially used. Review the full policy for the terms that apply to your purchase.
02How do I get help with billing or my account?
Use the contact form for purchase, subscription, refund, or account-access questions. Never send payment-card details.
03Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Settings includes a confirmed deletion workflow that takes hosted URLs offline, handles active review or organization obligations, removes application data, and deletes the authentication account.
